Summary

Information about who owns and maintains the street lamps in the Babergh district and how to report a faulty light.

Most of the street lights in Suffolk are maintained by Suffolk County Council.

Babergh District Council are only responsible for lighting columns in council garage/parking areas and council car parks. Please see the list of Lighting Columns (PDF, 8Kb), for which we are responsible. To report a fault on one of Babergh District Council's street lights, take a note of the number on the column and contact us with the details.

To report a fault on any other street light please contact Suffolk County Council on 0800 591055 or look at the street light pages on the County Council website.
