The District Council has received a request to provide a Scoping Opinion under Regulation 10 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 1999, for the construction of two industrial buildings on land at County Farm East, Church Field Road, Sudbury, pending the submission of a planning application. 

In order to assist us in this process, the prospective applicants submitted a Scoping Report which outlines the relevant environmental information they consider should be taken into account when preparing their Environmental Statement to accompany any future planning application.   

Following the consultation exercise that the District Council was required to undertake in accordance with the Regulations, a Scoping Opinion which outlines the matters that Babergh District Council considers should be addressed in the Environmental Statement has now been adopted and is available to view from the links shown here:

As already indicated the District Council has only been requested to provide a Scoping Opinion at this stage and as yet (July 2009) a planning application has not been submitted for the development of the site.
