The Council is continuing work on its new planning framework for the Babergh District up to 2031. Part of this process would include planning for the growth to be accommodated in the district for the mentioned period and at a site-specific level.

The Council is continuing work on its new planning framework for the Babergh District up to 2031. Part of this process would include planning for the growth to be accommodated in the district for the mentioned period and at a site-specific level.
New development such as housing, employment, retail, etc will need to be allocated in a planning document that deals with site specifics.
In order to comprehensively assess all land that may have potential for future development within the Babergh District, the Council made a call for sites during July/ August 2010. The call for sites is now closed. For more information about the process to follow please refer to the guidance notes below.
