SUFFOLK SPRINGS INTO ACTION FOR ANTI-LITTER MONTH

Summary

The residents of Suffolk are once again poised to take part in Spring Clean Suffolk to take a stand against those who litter the Suffolk Countryside.

The residents of Suffolk are once again poised to take part in Spring Clean Suffolk to take a stand against those who litter the Suffolk Countryside.

The event, which was originally organised by the Suffolk Agricultural Association started last year where over 90 clear up events were held in communities all over Suffolk during the week 20-26th March 2006. The event was so popular that all the councils in Suffolk have decided to co-ordinate the event for a second year.

This time, the event will be held throughout March so that more groups are able to take part and access the volume of equipment they would like.

The idea of the campaign is to get people involved in litter picks to show that the people of Suffolk won't stand for litter in our towns, villages and countryside. There will also be a thorough litter pick of the banks of the A12 & A14 by specialist contractors.

Anyone wishing to organise, or take part in a litter pick should contact their relevant Council, using the contact details below, for equipment loans and other support:
