Please note the following conditions:

  • The weekly rent for a council garage for 2010/11 is £6.26 for Council Tenants and £7.85 + £1.37 VAT for applicants who are not tenants of Babergh District Council.
  • Council Tenants whose rent accounts are in arrears will not be allocated a garage.
  • Garages are not always immediately available. Your name will be placed on a waiting list if there are no vacancies at the time you apply.
  • Applicants who are not tenants of Babergh Council houses will only be allocated a garage if no Council Tenant is waiting for a garage in the same location.
  • Garage tenants who are not tenants of Babergh Council houses will be charged Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current rate.
