Recycle Now is a national campaign to encourage people to recycle even more of their waste.
The campaign is being run by WRAP which stands for the Waste & Resources Action Programme. WRAP is an independent organisation funded by the government.
Babergh District Council is supporting the campaign and you will see the logo on our literature.
As part of this campaign we have teamed up with the other Suffolk councils to run a partnership campaign "Recycle for Suffolk".
This campaign is to raise awareness and participation in recycling locally and has involved a team visiting homes in the district to offer advice and information, recycling roadshows throughout the district and presentations on all aspects of recycling.
Compost Awareness Week
It seems everyone is trying their hand at growing their own fruit and vegetables. So Recycle Now is encouraging people to put their compost to good use to grow great-tasting, good value food.
Lots of events and activities are planned for the annual Compost Awareness week for everyone - from the novice to the expert gardener. Click here for tips on home composting and being greener in your garden. |
