How Green is Your Parish?

A seminar for people of Suffolk who want to help their local wildlife

Babergh District Council, Suffolk Wildlife Trust and Green Light Trust are organising an event on September 12th 2009 10am - 4pm, at Green Light Trust Lawshall.
 
The event will help you take a closer look at the wildlife in your area and set up local conservation projects.

The day will be full of practical advice and information. Our experts will be on hand to discuss your ideas and answer your questions. There will also be an opportunity to hear about the experiences of people already involved in wildlife projects.

The seminar will include:

  • Workshops on how to set up a project, carry out surveys and manage habitats for wildlife
  • Suggestions on how you can take local action for wildlife
  • Advice on how to encourage barn owls to your parish
  • Help on identifying the wild areas and species that need help most
  • Advice on funding and grants
  • A visit to a successful community project in Lawshall.

The cost is £8.00 (lunch included) and places are limited, so if you would like to attend please complete the booking form and return to Suffolk Wildlife Trust as soon as possible, together with your fee.
