SUFFOLK HEALTH SCRUTINY COMMITTEE
Report by Sue Morgan, Scrutiny Officer, Suffolk County Council attached.
Sue Morgan will attend the meeting to present the report and answer questions. Mrs M O Munson is currently the Babergh representative on the Suffolk Health Scrutiny Committee.

BABERGH DISTRICT COUNCIL EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS FORUM

FLOOD AND WATER MANAGEMENT ACT 2010
The Director of Corporate Services to report that the Flood and Water Management Act received royal assent on 8 April 2010. Individual sections and paragraphs in the Act are commenced by Ministerial Order before coming into effect. There has been a gap in this process due to lack of parliamentary time and the development of appropriate and supplementary guidance material.
The Suffolk Flood Risk Partnership which has been set up to provide a focus for work associated with this Act will be meeting in January to further develop the Suffolk Action Plan. A report will be provided to the February meeting of this Committee.
The Committee is asked to note the position.
