Nathan Kelly and Sadie Belsey are both studying drama and theatre at Great Cornard Upper School. Nathan’s aim is to promote drama and theatre to boys.
Their first review was Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest on 1st September.
Robert Benton, Director of The Quay Theatre commented “We thoroughly enjoyed this enterprising scheme last year and are looking forward to working with Babergh again from this week. The considered views of the young reviewers are always worth a read, which is why the continued involvement with the local press, making them available to everyone, is such a benefit. Jill Barton, Babergh District Council's Community Development Officer, added: “All our student critics are really committed and I am looking forward to reading some great reviews. The Quay are again staging some fabulous productions this autumn and our students are in for a real treat. This is another example of Babergh working in partnership with theatres and it is great to be able to give young people from our district this fantastic opportunity to review a range of exciting productions.”
The Importance of Being Earnest runs from 1st-4th September at The Quay Theatre. For more information please call the Quay Theatre Box Office on 01787 374745 or visit the Quay Theatre website http://www.quaytheatre.org.uk/
